Dräger Gas consumption calculator
Welcome to the gas-calculation tool. This tool is designed to support you in calculating the run-time
of the gas-cylinders for O2 and Air with different Dräger Ventilators and Anesthesia devices.
It has been developed to support the application of Dräger devices throughout the Covid-pandemia.
All calculations are approximations only and rounded for safety reasons.
The calculated approximation does contain a 5% safety margin.
The actual runtime is depending on e.g.
* Changes in minute ventilation or fresh gas flow
* Changes in set FiO2
* Frequency of patient disconnections
The calculated approximations do not contain the leak flow caused by the used patient interface when applying non-invasive ventilation.
The calculated approximations do not contain the flow used by pneumatically driven nebulizer using the ventilator as a driving gas source.
The calculated approximations do not contain HFO ventilation for neonatal patients.
For ease of use the approximation is not corrected for actual ambient pressure and altitude related to sea level.
All calculated approximation are based on 1013 hPa / mbar at MSL.
For calculation of the consumption of breathing gas for anesthesia devices please always enter the set fresh gas flow.
